ABC Family sizzles in Summer 2009

ABC Family success powered by Cable’s Top 5 Scripted Original Series of Summer among Females 12-34 and 12-17.

Driven by original dramas "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," and "Make It or Break It," the drama, ABC Family saw ratings soar on linear and experienced its best month ever for VOD transactions. Add the hit series "10 Things I Hate About You," and the newcomer "Ruby and the Rockits," to the mix and ABC Family posted its best July ever and is ranked a Top 5 network among the millennial audience.

Among the many ratings highlights: "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" was cable's #1 series for Women 18-34 and key 12-34 and 12-17 demos; and "Make It or Break It," "10 Things I Hate About You" and "Ruby & The Rockits" were #1 in their respective time slots.

ABC Family finished the summer strong, closing out the last week of August with Top 10 finishes among P12-34 (#6) and key women (#6 in W18-34). P18-49 placed #13, up from #15 the week prior.
